Purpose & Responsibilities

The office of the Clerk of Superior Court is here to assist you with filing, recording, and retrieving the various types of public documents filed in Paulding County.

The types of records include civil and criminal proceedings, real estate documents, and various other vital records. The Clerk of Superior Court also administers the jury system.

The office of the Clerk of Superior Court is an elected office. You elect the Clerk of Superior Court to administer the proper registration and retention of official documents.

Our office hours will remain Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. The only public that are allowed in our office at this time is anyone needing to obtain a Family Violence Domestic Protective Order or anyone who has made an appointment to utilize the Deed Room for searches. To make an appointment to visit the Deed Room please call 678-224-4347. Only 2 individuals will be allowed in at a time. Everyone must wear gloves to use the computers, books, copier, etc. We also have a drop box at the front of the Courthouse for anything that needs to be filed in this office. We also want to remind everyone that we do accept e-filing for Civil cases and Deeds (see above for the links and information).
